Cythia then works the glass on the metal table again, working in more color and getting the blow part started (she blocks the hole on the pipe, the heat of the glass expands the trapped air, the expanding air starts the glass blowing), then back to the glory hole. I don't quite remember the sequence, but I think after the glory hole, she stood on the cement block (visible at our feet) and placed the hot glass into a small metal mold, forming ridges.

That's Marcus - he was doing lots of explaining and shepherding and keeping the wheels turning smoothly. Here he is setting up the tube for the blowing part.

Notice the extensive burn marks on the oak and metal work bench?
