Home

So we've been looking at lots of houses. We are drawn to the older homes, we like their architecture and settled neighborhoods. This blue home from the 50's is very exciting. But small. Very small. 1,040 square feet, single car garage, on a bit over 6,000 square feet.

It has 3 bedrooms, small but sufficient for the short term. A lot of care has been taken with the home. The kitchen, however, is problematic. REALLY cramped (not helped by the presence of the washer/dryer). All of the appliances are worn out and would need replacement. We could easily pump 10k into the kitchen to bring it inline with our expectations. The current owners have done many wonderful things with the yard. You can see the lovely perennials against the front wall in this photo. The back yard has a sunny patio, the back fence is lined with trees from the neighboring park, raspberry canes, many flowers, and there's a substantial vegetable garden. We'd spend a lot of time outside, I think. The back is fully fenced, a big plus for Abby's happiness and safety.

It's a really lovely home, and the photo doesn't do it justice. We're still looking, but thinking hard...
