I stopped posting out of frustration for awhile because the update of the WordPress app caused all images to appear WAY to big on the site. I finally called in the Googler and learned how to make it right.
Yay me.

Roscoe had a heck of a good time last night. I pulled out the play tunnel, thinking he would be too large to fit. He had such a grand time zipping thru, lolling around on his back gnawing the cat toys. At one point he managed to creepy crawl out the viewing port at the juncture of the three tunnels. He is such a goof.

Stupid tired. My night time meds knock me for a loop. one too many without the fun.
In this questionable state I decide to work on my shrink dink Christmas cardigans ornaments. Somehow I managed to run it threw the oven and get it flat with falling on my face in the hot place. Talent
I forgot to punch the hole in my fervor to get it done. Measure twice , cut once. Grr. Dremel to the rescue.
Elizabeth participated in her first musical recital this afternoon. She was first of perhaps a dozen students. 45 minutes of lovely Christmas and classical music, from children her age to young ladies and young men on the cusp of adulthood.
She worked very hard this past week learning her notes and transitioning from right to left and back to right hand. I’m looking forward to hearing her develop her ear and sense of rhythm.
Great fun.
Elizabeth and her grandpa having a final visit. It took her a few days to completely get over her fear of him. She needed extra comfort the first week and then it got to be old hat to hop in his lap and ride in the chair with him. I wish we had had Elizabeth sooner so she’d have memories of the talented and vibrant man I grew up with. But they made some good memories, I think, despite his infirmities.
She asks about him now that we are home, and tells me she is sad he will die, and wants to know why he can’t be fixed by the doctors. Working hard to give her age appropriate answers that won’t frighten her.
Hard seeing papa so weak. He is still a cantankerous bugger though, disease not withstanding. It was an emotional roller coaster for all. The family received help every time we needed it, a blessing. I wish I’d had the resources to stay longer and help more but recognize I would have felt that way no matter how long I’d stayed.

Went great. Ziggy, Zorro, lilac worthy of inclusion in breeding program. Speedy and Surprise need to be pet homes. Exhausted. More later.
